In the 1970 it was a tumultuous time.In which women, African Americans, Native Americans, gays and lesbians and other strange people continued their fight for equality, and many Americans joined the protest against the nonstop war in Vietnam.The behavior of president Richard Nixon reduced many people's faith in good intentions of the federal government.The silent majority that swept president Richard into office 1968, which lead to Nixon demolished the welfare state that had fostered such bitterness.
I picked this event, because i felt this could be more interesting about what happened in the late 1970s.

The American-built waterway across the Isthmus of Panama and connecting the Atlantic and Pacific oceans.Also , it was an artificial waterway across Central America. In the 1855s the United States completed a railroad across the Isthmus of Panama.Construction of the sea level canal that began in 1881, but incapable planning ,diseases among workers , and more especially financial problems. During this event it was interesting by the way they did solver their problems and which it stopped it.It was later called the Panama Canal Zone of granting the U.S. exclusive.

This year it was the year that the 19th Amendment was made-up.The 19th Amendment was women’s suffrage,this amendment was prohibited any united states to be denied the right to vote based on sex.The amendment was a high point of the women's suffrage movement which was fought throughout the nation to achieve the vote. Then during this time period, it was then ratified on August 18 in the 1920s.It was first drafted in 1878 by Susan B. Anthony over 30 years after the Seneca Falls Convention , where the idea of Women’s Suffrage gained prominence in the United States.
