The reason it was so impactful to me was because lying is a cooperative act, so basically when someone lies to you, it is your fault for believing it. This topic was very successful, it showed the truth of lying and what it can cost or do to people and it was very eye opening. Mrs. Meyer was a very strong public speaker, she knew what she was talking about, and had a high vocabulary. It was obvious that she had been doing this for a long time and she was great at doing it. Mrs. Meyer kept the audience entertained but still made sure to get the point across about lying and even taught them a few things so they can start trying to spot deception. There is not much she can improve on because she is such a great speaker, but one thing she could improve on is getting the crowd involved more. She did get them involved and they liked that, but if there was more involvement especially toward the beginning of the video. The audience really enjoyed getting to watch the videos and try to see who was the liar. The audience overall really enjoyed the presentation. The presentation was really interesting and she had key points and was humorous enough to not lose my interest. She was very professional and I would honestly watch another one by Mrs. Meyer. I find presentations like the one she did great and love watching them because they are not only entertaining, but you learn from them as well. On this particular topic everyone wants to know how to stop deception and she told the audience that they need to stop letting people lie to them and I do not think people realize that, so I think that opened everybody's eyes. With this presentation I learned that to just be yourself and all will be well, there is nothing to be nervous about. Just talk to the audience like they are your friend. Visual aids can improve the speech by taking some of the pressure of the speaker, and they can catch the audience's attention.
