Government and laws.
The rise in population had its pros but it also caused problems. Now that people were no longer living in clans where everyone knew each other, there were more people to keep track of and their activities. And with the agriculture making new jobs, (such as pottery to hold the seeds) it gave people an incentive to want to steal from others. And thus laws began. One of the most famous law givers was a ruler from Babylon known as Hammurabi. In today’s world Hammurabi’s laws would seem extremely harsh but Hammurabi believed that the strictness of these laws would scare people enough to prevent them from committing crimes.
In conclusion, even though there are several different religions, laws, and the way the government is run in the world today, we are able to see why, where and how these things all came about. And I think we can be appreciative of these ancient people for carving the way our society is formed today, and also be especially greatful that we no longer have the same strict laws
