One paper bag can change lives. One school project can change lives. Lives of children born with a cleft lips or palettes. A robot is an automatic machine that carries out intricate series of actions. The PaintBot is a RedBot® that creates artwork to benefit charity throughout the medical industry non-profitably. These pieces of art are sold throughout Old Donation Center/ Kemps Landing in miniature sizes inside bags along with sweet treats and paint supplies. By providing numerous beneficial services, the PaintBot will improve the quality of life with several social and economic aspects. The PaintBot benefits children through the school and children suffering all around the world. To begin, the PaintBot’s main purpose is donating money to Operation Smile, a philanthropic organization. The PaintBot moves around a canvas using specialized lines of code. With a three-dimensionally printed piece, the RedBot chassis and a paintbrush attach. Then, the movement of the RedBot paints. With vibrant colors, …show more content…
In some areas of the world, children born with birth defects such as cleft lips/palettes, are seen as burdens to society. Mothers are blamed, children are teased, and babies are abandoned. Operation Smile only removes a minor facial deformity, but that minor facial deformity impacts unbelievably. The PaintBot is pleased to donate all profits to this organization; to give hope and care, and to help spread awareness so that more children receive the treatment needed. Although the profits of the PaintBot may seem small economically, little things make big differences. And, the PaintBot group is confident the money will be donated to Operation Smile, because the money collected will be sent directly to the headquarters in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
