Pacific Heights
Pacific Heights is a film by Paul Harper that was released in 1990. It is about a couple that finally finds their dream apartment, and they decide to rent the bottom floor to a man. Unlucky for them, this man is a neighbor from hell. He has construction sounds coming from his apartment day and night, he won’t answer his door, and he even changed his locks so the landlord couldn’t get inside. He tries to frame the couple upstairs and make them look like the crazy ones. The stress this neighbor puts on the couple leads to a miscarriage. This neighbor even releases cockroaches to try and make them leave him alone. It ends with Carter, the neighbor/tenant, attacking Drake, the landlord but Carter dies. This film is aimed for

First of all, this neighbor obviously has a deep dark secret that he does not want getting out. This is presumably why he does not answer his door, has construction noises coming from his apartment all day and night, and changed the locks on his door so the landlord could not get inside. What is this secret though? Not knowing adds suspense throughout the entire movie. Another ideology that is present in this neighbor is his extremism to a goal. He wants the tenants to leave him in peace. He goes as far as releasing cockroaches so that these people will leave. This also fits in with being a social outcast, because no normal person in his or her right mind would ever do this. One of the things that contradict my past beliefs in the weird neighbor, as mentioned before, is the fact that the law is on the weird neighbors side. This creates an interesting dynamic that allows the neighbor to act without restraint. I have never seen anything like this before and find it very intriguing. This weird neighbor connects with Abby’s version of a weird neighbor. One of the things she described was how strange, constant noises come from the weird neighbors house. She talked about how these noises give a sense of eeriness. That is how I would describe this movie clip perfectly. If I heard noises coming from my neighbor’s house all day, I would be very suspicious as

Following the story from the New York Times best-selling book by Dick Lehr and Gerard O’Neill, the movie recounts the events from 1975 when Whitey was a small-time gangster, up to his eventual capture in 2011, ending his 12 year streak on the FBI Ten Most Wanted Fugitives list. The definition of media is any format or platform that carries, presents, or communicates information, so everything surrounding us would be considered media. A certain type of media that I will relate back to sociology would be a television show titled One Tree Hill. The show is based around different high school kids and how the love of basketball and the love of the players makes them come together. The show itself, is centered around two half-brothers and how one is considered an outcast, Lucas and the other is considered royalty, Nathan. When Lucas makes the basketball team, Nathan isn't exactly his greatest fan in fact Lucas goes through a round of bullying before he is finally accepted onto the team.…

It’s common practice for movie studios to greenlight sequels, even sequels to movies that few people particularly ask for. This is that grey area in Hollywood where box office success supersedes creativity - and as it pertains to Neighbors, which currently stands as Seth Rogen’s highest grossing film to date (live-action role, at least), it makes perfect sense for there to be a sequel. The author Charlotte Perkins displays a feminist interpretation in an impressive way. Her use of metaphors brings out the true meaning behind this story.
