Pacific Club Reflection

Decent Essays
I have been part of the AVID Club for four years and two years for the Pacific Club. I have not been able to volunteer in any after school programs because of my family since they are very strict. Even if my family is strict on me I try to be involved in my high school. I have participated in fundraising money such as selling bags for the both the AVID and Pacific Clubs. Another thing that I started to do this year is participate in selling food at one of the student stores at the high school during lunch time.

In the past few years, I’ve volunteered with a variety of organizations from National Honor Society, National Spanish Honor Society, and Key Club. I have also co-founded a Community Outreach Club at high school. Through the Church I’ve assisted with Vacation Bible School and middle school retreats. One of my favorite memories came from volunteering for the first time with National Spanish Honor Society. Choosing to participate in this program was not a difficult decision, since I knew I wanted to continue practicing my Spanish and volunteer in the community at the same time.…

National Student loan debt is a huge issue for many Americans today. If I’ve learned anything in the past four years, it’s to start early. Starting early can mean many things and in many ways can help you be ready for the cost of a college degree. First and foremost, when I say start early I mean in terms of education; setting yourself up to receive grants and scholarships because over time it all adds up. It wasn’t until my senior year of High that I truly understood how important it was to work towards a high GPA and really get yourself involved in the community.…
