You probably know about me I'm the famous artist Pablo Picasso however My birth name was actually Pablo Diego José Francisco de Paula Juan Nepomuceno María de los Remedios Crispiniano de la Santísima Trinidad Ruiz y Picasso. I was never very good at math, science or most things but I loved art. My first word was lapiz which in English translates to pencil. I ideally loved art from the time I said my first word. I was born on October 25, 1881, in the Spanish coastal town of Málaga, where my father, José Ruiz Blasco, was an art instructor at a provincial school. I began to draw under my father's teachings and studied in various art schools between 1892 and 1897, including academies in Barcelona and Madrid. I …show more content…
In the year 1901 my paintings were mostly monochromatic, meaning one color, and were mainly blue and had an occasional dark green color. This period of sadness came when a close friend of Mine named Casagernas committed suicide in Paris. My Blue Period is very well known with most people today, but my Rose Period is of higher artistic importance. During my Rose Period in 1904, I would develop a certain characteristic of brighter colors in all of my paintings that would become part of my style, which made me one of the most important artists of the entire 20th century.
In 1907 I met a new friend named Georges Braque and together in 1908 devolved an artwork style which is still used today called cubism,cubism is a drawing in which an image is made up entirely of geometric shapes to represent something. In 1912 I made my first collage, Synthetic Cubism closed the gap between real life and the world of art by putting parts of the real world onto the image.
