The artist I have selected is Pablo Picasso, a Spanish painter, sculptor, printmaker, ceramicist, stage designer, poet and playwright who spent most of his adult life in France. The greatest and most influential artists of the 20th century, as well as the co-creator of Cubism. “Picasso devoted himself to an artistic production that contributed significantly to—and paralleled the entire development of—modern art in the 20th century.”

The personal life Pablo Picasso was in his father’s footsteps basically, Picasso's father began teaching him to draw and paint when he was a child. By the time he was 13 years old, his skill level had surpassed his father's. He went to school and then went to the academy of arts for one year. When Picasso did his

He’s a great artist and one of the best in my book. His art is very abstract, out of normal which I like. Something’s that aren’t normal can be the best things a person can every see or hear or even feel. I can’t get over that most of his experience came from his dad and the Art school he went to. Just as a kid you absorb so much, you take in what interests you the most. Another thing that I’ve learned is this guy made a living by doing what he loved doing. I wish I was like men like that, just paint something that I imagine in my head and make thousands or even millions of dollars. Another thing I learned is that he died when he was 92, he must have lived a stress free life. Here are some quotes that he said, quite inspiring. To wrap it up in a nut shell, when I look at Pablo Picassos art I question as what it means. There are so many factors that come in my head as what made him go in this direction to paint or draw or anything really. To be honest I do see beauty in some of these paintings but the ones that just have a few lines on it, that’s crap. I want to see the compaction of what that person put into their work. I said this once and I’ll say it twice, Girl before a mirror is my favorite by far. Well I like the ladies and the color of this art form is priceless. Id hang that crap up in my room, I’d do

As any paranoiac, the artist should allow these images to reach the conscience, and then do what the paranoiac cannot do: Freeze them on canvas to give consciousness the opportunity to comprehend their meaning (Bell, 1984). Later on, he expanded the process into the Oniric-Critical Method, in which the artist pays attention to his dreams, freezing them through art, and analyzing them as well. As Freud said, “A dream that is not interpreted is like a letter that is not opened (Bell, 1984). Picasso took the opposite approach to art.…

In this artistic movement, the issues are on the basic geometric and several views of an object or a person is the same time from different perspectives in art. I enjoy Matisse’s use of color and design. “In Matisse’s art there is no struggle, no shock, and no tension. (Lewis & Lewis, 2014, p.400). Picasso did his work by “literally attaching bits and pieces from everyday life- inventing college.” (Lewis & Lewis, 2014, p.404).…

Although Picasso was not as poor as them, his depression following the tragedy of death made him misunderstand his actual situation. He started to feel and act as if he were in his models’ situations. This habit of empathy lead Picasso to behave differently not only in his everyday life, but also translated into his art. He began to slowly purchase less and less art supplies until he almost quit buying canvases altogether and would instead paint on cardboard. During the time that Picasso painted Woman Ironing, he was even documented to often paint over work that he was not proud of and did not want to display (Vogel).…

Paul Cezanne`s painting" The Large Bathers " was his largest painter and quite different from his previous painter. One of the charcter of his painting which makes his painting unique is that he included nuditiy while including some tree in different forms. One can see from his painting that all the women are nude and perform different activites. From my understanding of the painting that the women are in freedom and enjoying the nature. But when it comes to the reality, women can not act such a way even if they want to do that because of the traditional and some religious belive.…

He is known for his more realistic renderings and would take every day ordinary objects and would place them out of context, forcing the viewer to look at it in a different perspective and question the meaning. For instance his painting named Son of Man. It is a portrait of a man in an overcoat with a bowler hat standing in front of a wall with the ocean and the clouds behind him. The mans face is largely obscured with a green apple hovering in front of his face, just enough to cover it, but leaving part of the eye exposed. Look closely at the right arm and it appears to be put on backwards from his elbow (Wikipedia).…

“The Scream” I really like this painting because it has mystery and anxiety and to my innersole, it reflects a sense of how profound the feelings and thoughts of a person can be. In addition, the fact that the painting shows an individual screaming during a perfect sunset moment is what draws me to admire such bizarre piece of art. Even though it seems to be that it is a lovely evening for everyone, apparently it is not for such induvial. The subject screaming seems to be scared and perhaps confused about something. Hence, looking at this mysterious individual posing his hands on his face with his mouth wide open gives me the impression that he or she is experiencing something that no one else around is able to notice.…
