Transition Statement: Now, I wanted to talk about how he became a drug dealer.
I. He was a drug lord from the cartel of Medellin, Colombia.
A. He became major drug smuggler in 1976 (Escobar,1999).

B. The biggest house was called "Hacienda Napoles". The largest of his estates boasted 60 miles of roads, a private zoo and more than 20 artificial lakes (Pablo Escobar, 1999).
C. By the time of his death at the age 44, Escobar asserted 4 billion (Pablo Escobar, 1999).
D. He built his own prison. The permittion by the Colombian government to built a luxurious prison called “La Catedral/The Cathedral” (Newton, 2010).
Transition Statement: Since we have discussed that Pablo is a drug lord and a wealthy man, now we can talk about why he became a terrorist.
II. Pablo was a terrorist.
A. He killed politicians and cartels to be invincible to their enemies. The Medellin Cartel began to conduct terror bombings and assassinations (Mendoza, 2011).
B. While ensconced at La Catedral (The Cathedral), Escobar apparently continued his ruthless campaign against opponents and is thought to have been responsible for the deaths of a number of "visitors" to his "prison" (Newton, 2010).
