Pa-C Reflection

Decent Essays
This day in the ED the PA-C I was with assessed, diagnosed and treated patients ranging in age from 18 months old-86 years old. The complaints of the patients included a fever with vomiting, psychosis, first degree and second degree burns to the head, left arm and axilla and a head injury. The child with a fever and vomiting was diagnosed with Fifth disease. The patient was stable and discharged. The patient with the first and second degree burns had ice packs applied to the burned areas and administered medication for pain. The patients had approximately burns to 5% of her body. She was discharged and advised to follow up with the Wound Clinic. The patient who was experiencing psychosis became extremely violent and destructive. The patient
