PTSD is one of the most horrific disorders known to man. PTSD is a mental disorder that affects people that have been through a traumatic experience in their lives. It is very common with veterans. Around 30% of all veterans that have been exposed to combat will suffer from PTSD. Since the government is so willing to send soldiers to war, they should also be willing to take care of the ones that get PTSD. The normal suicide rate for males in the United States is 19.4 per 100,000. For veterans, the rate is 38.3 per 100,000. It is common knowledge that their is a link between PTSD, and other forms of trauma, and suicide. Many veterans have nowhere to go to seek help, or they are just unwilling to seek help. They may feel weak for wanting help.
