PLP Reflection
1.1 EVALUATION OF PERSONAL AND LEARNING GOALS:
My personal and learning goals were get all A’s in math and science during senior years, find a work experience placement in either childcare or pharmacy by the end of 27th of March, get an ATAR of more than 90 and to get a driver license by the end of year 11. There goals will help me gain mobility, help me gain more experiences about pharmacy and help me gain entry into pharmacy at university. These goals are realistic since I have already found a work experience placement in a pharmacy and has been getting all A’s in math and science so far. These capabilities help me to achieve goals by giving me more knowledge about planning and organizing times and work, help me to socialize more with others and help me to get better grades in all subjects this semester. In order to achieve these capabilities, I put more times into studying, used a diary when planning assessments, joined a club where I socialize with others and also talked to different people in and out of school. I didn’t encounter any big problems, however studying everyday was difficult for me since there was piano practices every Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday. I overcome this problem by reducing the time used to play games and watch videos. These capabilities are really important in my future since capabilities are important throughout my whole life, starting from finishing high school and getting a job after university. Numeracy capability is used to get A’s in math and science to be able to use a calculator, measure things, read diagrams, maps and charts, solve various of problem relating to numbers, help me manage my money (budget), help me get a good scholarship and help me get in to the university that I want. Literacy capability is used to write up assessments, socialise with others and to speak in front of others. Personal and social capability is needed for me to communicate and understand people and their behaviour better, make friends and to join
