According to The Economist in 2010, the average consumer fast-food spending has increased during the recession. This has shown that consumer still eating out at the convenient and low prices fast-food rather than table-service restaurants. Hence, QSR should introduce new offering or products at low-priced menu during the recession. Besides that, QSR should hire the skilled and qualified workers. The workforce who can speak better English and have experience in the fast-food industry can speed up the order process with fewer mistakes. This can help in increasing the customer serve time and satisfaction. At the same time, QSR can expand their franchising market which increase the number of application for franchising. This is a great long run plan and it can help in establishing a strong distributor network across the globe. Economic factors directly impacts the economy performance of an organization. For the threats among the QSR are the future and potential competition from a national company in the same industry. For example, Mcdonalds, KFC, Burger King and others fast food chain are selling the similar products in this industry. The QSR have an opportunity in using new technology that can improve productivity as well as their services. They should keep up with the changing technology in order to keep them in the competition. For instance, they can use computerized order-taking and billing systems when they are providing services for customers. Besides that, they can have an implementation on automated touch systems in order to speed up the ordering service. As consumer familiarity with new technology increases, QSR should use channels such as social media websites or social networking to communicate with their customers. The most popular technology such as the uses of internet and television which can help to draw more customers. If QSR able to launched a successful advertising campaign, it can help them to create a viral among their customers. Besides that, by using the online marketing such as website would help QSR to share information and get feedback from customers which create two-way communication with public.
