I see more out of control children in homes where children are allowed to be on an equal power level with their parents. Older generations hold a lot of wisdom and should be respected and possibility even feared, so that younger generations are quicker to learn compliance, as well as, consequences to their actions. Alternatively, to avoid stagnancy in society or organizations, subordinates should be consulted or perhaps more can be learned from student-centered education. I do not believe that men and women should be treated differently, but it should be recognized and accepted that there are differences between the genders. A society with both masculine and feminine qualities can be a good balance for the overall health of a community. There are different times and places when different qualities are needed. For example, a caring heart is needed when caring for family members, but in the workplace, assertiveness and ambition may be needed to further accelerate ones career. All people will go through times in their lives when they are strong and when they are week. Everyone needs a support system to help them through the harder times. Alternatively, admiration during the good times can keep one strong and motivated to continue on a successful path.
Children can be better-rounded if they are exposed to more of a co-parenting style where both mothers and fathers deal with facts and feelings. During various times in a child’s life a mother’s perspective might be more helpful and other times when a father’s view is more appreciated. Better-rounded children turn into adults that are hopefully more accepting of their feelings where neither boys nor girls are afraid to cry and both sexes are willing to stand up for themselves and fight for what is
