7.0 CHALLENGES
The main challenges faced by PR1MA housing project are that, PR1MA has to ensure that the housing development project comes up with the right products that meet the demands of the users and also gets approvals from various authorities. For the first challenge faced by PR1MA which is to ensure that the housing development produced met the users’ criteria, PR1MA Corporation must ensuring that project meets the demands of the stakeholders. The citizens are hoping the government can help them to address the issue on the high cost of living and to cater the problem of urban poverty. This is because the state land and the federal land are limited and the lands owned by the state and federal government is intended for other government projects as well. So, the PR1MA Project does not receive the sufficient amount of land for the PR1MA housing development. For example, in the early stage of the PR1MA project, PR1MA Corporation should have received a certain amount of land but instead, they only received a very small amount of land due to complications in getting approvals from other ministries project on those lands. This is one of many challenges for the PR1MA project as they had targeted an amount of houses to be completed and it has been announced to the people and thus, the people expected that exact number of PR1MA houses instead of having lesser amounts to be sold off. This may happen due to the improper planning and government jurisdiction to the PR1MA Corporation. If the PR1MA Corporation is the main project for the current Malaysian Plan, the state and federal government lands should be given the priority to the PR1MA project. The PR1MA Corporation can conduct roadshows or house ownership expo about offering houses under PR1MA or conducting any programs that can make the stakeholders to aware about the PR1MA project. By making such expo or roadshows, the citizens can be aware about the changes or issues regarding the PR1MA project. PR1MA Corporation can also communicate with the people through the social media, as the social media can spread the information very fast without requiring any time and money from the PR1MA Corporation. For example, the PR1MA Corporation can inform the public through twitter where the information will be disseminate very fast to other peoples within a short period of time. Moreover, the information communicated by the PR1MA Corporation must be short and precise. This is to avoid any misunderstanding among people towards the PR1MA
