Web architecture:
Web architecture is the technology which makes the web server run and enables the user to view websites and use the internet.
Internet Service Providers (ISP)
An ISP is a company that provides users with access to the internet. The users usually pay monthly for this service so that they can stay connected. Some of the main ISP’s in the UK are Plusnet, BT, Sky and Virgin Media. There are different packages you can get with these companies and the internet usually comes along with the phone line or TV. The first ISP was established in 1989 and it was called The World. The internet enables businesses to communicate, advertise and promote products. Each client that has internet will have to have a router which will enable them to use the internet and each router will have a different IP address. Some ISPs can also provide web hosting services and also the option of high speed internet through a cable or DSL modem. The ISP I have at home is called Bluebox. It is an alternative to a phone line connection and it is the best broadband I can get in the area that I live however it is not that fast. Web Hosting Services

You get given a certain amount of data that can be used and downloaded while using the web hosting service and this is called bandwidth. This also determines the speed of your internet. To use web hosting you must pay that company however sometimes it is free. To get a domain name you must provide a valid IP. Most domain names would have to be bought even if they are not already owned. If you have a domain name that is unique it wouldn’t be that dear, usually about 99p per year. Web hosting allows you to publish your internet web pages on that company’s intranet security. You can upload your web pages images and graphics or videos usually through FTP also known as file transfer protocol. They can also provide other services such as email, security and links to
