My goal is to pursue graduate studies, and ultimately the Ph.D degree in the neurological sciences. I wish to achieve this goal so, I can teach to others how the brain and the nervous system are interlaced. This is because of an experience growing up with my grandmother. When I was 13, my grandmother suffered a stroke and lost the ability to move her right arm. This piqued my interest about neurological disorders because I learned how the stoke interfered with her movements and hindered her performance of daily activities. This experience bolstered my interest in neurological science

Most importantly, with this degree, I would like to be a Pediatric Neurologist. My dream is to help kids who are suffering from neurodegenerative diseases. What I have learned with having this disease is that most doctors in this field are unable to empathize. It isn’t their fault, if they don’t have a form of it or is very close with someone who is, how can they truly know what it is like to endure a disease similar to their patients? I want my patients to know that I will do everything I can to have a fulfilling life, as my pediatric neurologists have done for…
