I don't believe that learning ALWAYS has a positive effect on a person's life; I believe that yes, it’s a very amazing thing to learn but not ALWAYS. Many people would argue it’s more beneficial to ALWAYS learn something new, however what if that “something new” is harmful or perhaps something you’d rather not know? For example there’s a someone who you thought might have been a friend but in fact dislikes you, Would you really want to know that? This is just one small example out of many other scenarios where learning something could cause grief to you. With learning something new comes the added burden and responsibility of ALWAYS having and keeping that piece of knowledge. That's not such awful thing...or is it? For instance, a secret
