The field of computer science is one that is constantly growing. Technology has been deemed an inevitable part of our future and if more students do not go into this field then there will be no way for technology to advance. “There will be 1 million more computing jobs than students over the next 10 years” (Blurbs and Useful Stats). The number of jobs in this field will only go up, because the demand for new technology in all other fields will only increase as time goes on. Even though the demand is high for people in this field, there are not many people who are actually considering going into it because there is no exposure for students in high school to even know if they would have an interest in it. “Computing occupations are among the …show more content…
These machines have come a long way since they first came out. Now PCs are are rarely used. The places where you see them the most are usually only in public places. In home most people have a laptop or multiple tablets. Laptops have become slimmer over time and their processors have had the need to become faster each time. All the software companies are competing with each other to bring out the newer, faster, and trendier laptop that has more features than the last to keep up with consumer demand. The operating systems have drastically changed. Microsoft 's Windows has constantly been upgraded to fit the time; from Window 1.0, to the newest Windows 10 that came out in 2015, the development has been great. It includes features like interactive tiles on the desktop, that give real time information, as well as an intelligent personal assistants that learn all there is to know about users to better suit their needs. “From its origin as a dull white box, the desktop has become a hub of creativity and imagination, with technologies like depth-sensing cameras and 3D printing spinning off a variety of innovations” (Shah).
