Wheels for the World spent too much time on Henry Ford’s family origins, details about how the Ford Motor Company started to get involved with the World War ll, and how Ford was being accused of being on the Nazi’s side. The first piece of overused information was the details of family origin(4-10). For example, the biography kept repeating and going more into detail to the point that it was unneeded. Even though this information was off topic, it helped me figure out the type of setting Henry Ford was being born into. The next piece of overused information is how Ford’s company became involved with the war, which was constantly forcing him to do the right thing but he just wanted to be neutral. Evidence from the book is that when he found out that he was going to have build thousands of liberators he was depressed (460-463). This information was not only repeated by the public back then but the author in the book. Now for my last piece of information that was overused was people constantly accusing Ford to being on the Nazi’s side(448-458). This information was repeated to emphasize the fact they people would not leave Ford alone for this. The public not leaving Ford alone was their way of pressuring him to choose a side, preferably against the Nazis.
