Between the ages of 2-7, the preoperational stage, where the child will begin to see the world symbolically. I think symbolically, especially through art, colors can form feelings, red: love or anger, blue: peace or calmness. Each feeling can hold significance for everyone around the world and their meanings of emotions vary between cultures and religions. Since color has always been divided by feelings, emotions and taken on symbolism, I believe that strongly relates to why racism is so apparent and may never change. However, racial violence and segregation of races, religion, cultures have to change.
