Resettling migrants in suburban areas
Imagine yourself together with three other people suffocating in one meter of land . That will be the first step for you to imagine how stifling it would be for the people who are living in Ho Chi Minh City,Vietnam. From a promising land that has high potential for full development, this metropolis has become overpopulated due to the “high level of unregistered rural migration” as well as “ the spread of settlement, housing and industry beyond official statistical boundaries”( Fien,J. & Collins,N., 2016, para.2). According to General Statistics Office (2012), population density of Ho Chi Minh City is 3925 people over one kilometer, which is 13 times higher than the national average rate and 300 times higher than the worldwide population density. Comparing statistics over the past 5 years, this city is facing several issues including serious decrease in people’s living standard, inefficient public transport, air pollution and lack of urban service. To overcome this problem, the best solution for long-term is resettling migrants in suburban areas near Ho Chi Minh City.

Considering people’s opposing,its exceedingly cost for investment as well as risk and uncertainty, resettling migrants to suburb area is still the optimum solution to deal with this problem. If successful, this scheme will not only provide migrants with chances to lead a life with more opportunities and supports but also help the government to deal with multiple social problems. In order to accomplish positive and spectacular results over the next few years, the government has to gather supports from the citizens through various means
