I attended the O.A. meeting at Ascension House, located at 202 S Summit Avenue, Gaithersburg, MD 20877 on March 22, 2017. The meeting time was 11:00 am.
Overeaters Anonymous meeting is tailored to individuals who need support, encouragement and at the same time want to make practical strategies to recovery. This meeting was open to the public, therefore, a diverse group were seen. The most surprising thing you can see was that the differences of body weight. Different people have different criteria of overeater. Unlike other meetings, most members were in their early 40’s. The meeting opened with the review of the 12 steps process.
