I eat a lot of sugar in my daily routine, more than a 125 pound, seventeen year old should. With a weekly total of 421 grams of sugar it really opened my eyes to the problem of overconsumption of added sugars in our country. According to the article, “the risk of cardiovascular disease death increase exponentially as you increase your consumption of added sugars”, so if I continue with my current diet I would definitely be at risk of cardiovascular disease. Some of the biggest contributors to this problem are sugar-sweetened beverages and fruit drinks. People love these sorts of things, because water is so bland and people want added taste to their beverages. This is true with me and with other children, kids love sugary sweet things that
