Overcoming one's obstacles is one hard challenge a person can overcome. Facing adversity can be a very scary thing to do but, the way you overcome it is what shows what you are capable of doing. People overcome adversity by embracing their difficulties, being creative, and learning to get through it. First, they were facing their obstacles by embracing their difficulties. In the movie ´´ Soul Surfer´´ Bethany Hamilton lost her arm but, learned to embrace that she wouldn´t be the same. Therefore, she learns to accept herself and her new life. In addition, Bethany Hamilton knew that just by having one less of something doesn't mean you can't do the things you love. In ´´ The Story Of My Life,´´ Helen Keller learned a lot from her teacher Annie Frank. Also, this shows that she saw life in a better point of view than she did before. In general, this is important because she accomplished things she could never imagine accomplishing on her own. To conclude, Bethany Hamilton and Helen Keller overcame their obstacles by embracing their difficulties.
Second, you can overcome adversity by being creative with your abilities. In the story ´´ A Work In Progress´´ Aimee Mullins became creative and created a leg for her advantage.

In the text ´´ The Circuit´´ the main character overcame his obstacle by accepting not everything last forever.On the whole, this is important because he struggled and didn't like the move. As a matter of fact, this shows that he was very outgoing even though it hurt him. In the story ´´The Dust Bowl´´ the people who were there had a hard time living, forgetting what happened.This is important because even though they lost all the things they loved, they still found ways to keep their families going.
