Individuals who were returning were almost inevitability promised their former positions. I worked vigorously every day from 6:30am to 10am during the winter break we had. I ran and lifted weights in order to become better in every way. When school was back in session I had offseason football as my 6th period class and I had to bench press 205 pounds; I failed I was not even in the ball park of being able to bench press that much weight. The player from the previous year who harassed me also returned and was attempting to play the identical position as me. I had worked extremely hard for 8 months while he did not partake in the training I had. He was given the position and I was his subordinate, but would show the coaches why I should be in his position. We went on the football field to practice and hit each other head on; the coach asked if anyone wanted to go against a certain individual and I went up against the player who took my position.
