Life in general is hard for many people but it all comes down to how the person deals with obstacles that come their way. There is always another way around a problem and only you can decide if it is good or bad.Always try to look at a disadvantage from another point of view because there will always be a positive side to everything. Overcoming obstacles in life and trying to make something positive come out of it is never easy but that is the beauty of it,thus making you grow more as a person emotionally. For example, i once read a book called “the collateral beauty”. This extraordinary novel is about a dad and his daughter passed away because she had cancer all inside her bones. I once had a friend, his name was Alex. Alex only lived with his dad and sisters.He didn't care about his grades nor his health.One day he got a call from the hospital saying that his dad was in a gruesome car crash and he could be in a coma for a couple of months or maybe even years. You see his dad was the only support he had because he worked and provided all the money they needed but without him, it was a huge disadvantage for Alex. This affected him to have a better purpose in everything he did in order to continue on with his life, furthermore take care of his younger sisters who desperately needed his help more than ever especially because he was the oldest. Alex had to go through a mentally painful stage in his life in which he had to change his rebellious ways in order to step up and take responsibility for his family. He graduated from high school with associates and he was able to maintain a job which paid him twelve dollars an hour. All of his hard work paid off because with all of his earnings he was able to get surgery done on his father so that he would be able to move again. Even though he lost all hope in the beginning his conscious kept telling him to see the positive side in that tragic event.
