Immigrants face many quandaries when they are in a place so different to where they emanated from. Many of them do not understand English and that is a challenge that they face. English being your second language causes many troubles such as, finding a job to purchasing your weekly shop. A way in which this quandary could be overcome is by having English as a Second Language (ESL) classes available for immigrants to attend.

For immigrants there is mundanely quite a large culture barrier which makes it arduous for them in the work place. Colloquialisms, the way people act and talk can be very difficult if you are not used to the language or culture. You could offend someone with how you act or what you say and be unaware that it was offensive. There are ways that immigrants can surmount the change in culture and it is by optically canvassing other colleague’s actions and what their reactions are like. This is when learning English is crucial for immigrants as to communicate with colleagues in the workplace would be challenging otherwise. The opinion of Nunez (2014) is that, “…[Immigrants] are afraid of being deported.” Nunez also points out that, “…people will avoid seeing the doctor or reaching out for services like legal guidance when they’re badly needed.” Immigrants who have the correct documentation are mundanely able to get health care just like other citizens but it is a lot harder for undocumented immigrants to. According to Nunez (2014) although the quandary they do face is not being able to speak English which makes it tough to communicate with the medical staff if they were to try to seek some avail. This situation would be arduous to surmount for undocumented immigrants whereas documented immigrants could overcome their challenges by learning
