Being homeless isn’t a good life, it’s a rough life most homeless people wonder how they even got in the situation that they are in and maybe some people could careless if they were homeless. Homeless people usually have been homeless their entire or were born into poverty. Some might just have financial struggles, can’t find jobs, or have disabilities. Through donations, to offering more jobs, and more help from communities and people the number of homeless people will drop enormously.
My first solution to solving homelessness. Is getting the disabled, mentally ill ones, and the large families off the streets first because, they are the most vulnerable to violence. “Half of the homeless population is made of families, people with disabilities, or mentally ill ones.”(LA Almanac) The reason I would like to get those groups of people off the streets first is because they are the most vulnerable to harm, especially the physically disabled ones and the mentally ill. The people that disagree with me think that homeless people chose that lifestyle of being homeless. That’s not true, many homeless people were homeless their entire life or ended up in the position they are in today because a disability or something else but, some homeless people chose that life because they don’t care for to much in the world. “ Who are we as human beings if we ignore others?” (Anonymous 1) My fourth and final solution is how can we as individuals and communities come together and help homeless people? “ For any of us, the loss of a job, death of a spouse or a child or a severe physical disability could be the route to total despair.”(Anonymous 1) To help homeless people we can come together and help build shelters, give toys to kids, financial aid to families, and provide medical attention. Also, we should give everyone the minimum wage of ten dollars for every
