Even now, looking back at my whole college process, I wouldn’t change a thing because during that time I had to learn on my own to face rejection from colleges and failure in testing, but still never lose hope. And I didn’t. Mid-summer going into my junior year I discovered and fell in love with Colgate. It was my dream school, to top that off as an athlete being recruited in, I only needed a twenty-four on the ACT, while the average student needed a thirty or thirty-two. I still remember the night before I took the official ACT test, which was at Rasmussen community college coincidentally, I could barely sleep just thinking to myself all I need is a twenty-four and then I can go to my dream school. The outcome of that test was just proof that hope and mentally believing in yourself can go a long way; I got a twenty-eight my first try of the official ACT test. So, yes, I’m thankful for my life and all the bumps in the road I’ve encountered because without them I wouldn’t be who I am
