The over working of a students can impact them negatively and this may lead to obsession in certain factors within their lives and therefore creating an imbalance which is not healthy and not beneficial to the individual.

Sport and dealing with others teaches maturity and with this students can be more mature and develop greater higher order thinking skills as well as apply themselves in a mature manner when answering questions and making life decisions.

Over scheduling can take up valuable time for academics and cause major stress which will further affect the person's school marks. Pressure to do well in sport and or cultural activities add to the stress of school work. Sometimes being overworked or having an obsession with a certain

It may also lead to a lack in motivation and a lack of self discipline thus directly effecting schoolwork. Tiredness is one of the biggest factors which effect academics. Tiredness results in less productivity and less concentration. It also once again leads to a lack of motivation. Being tired does not only effect work within the classroom but homework as well.

The regular participation outside of class activities teaches one of the most important life skills which aids well in academics. It teaches time management. With good time management a balance in one's life is easily achieved. Sport helps to further teach self discipline, appreciation and the ability too accept failure and disappointment.

Sport helps with the overall well being of people. As exercise is essential for good health. It teaches organizational skills which helps with academic organization and makes for a better all rounded student. Sport aids with peer relationships in and out the classroom. Creating friendships is easy within the sporting field. This increases positive emotions and a good outlook. A good attitude makes one successful in all they take part in.

Another thing sport creates is the appreciation of people and the understanding of support. The realization that there is someone there for you, helps boost one's self esteem. This helps strengthening relationships. Within sport or other external activities, there are coaches and teachers. These people may act as good role models. This helps for motivation and good influence on the field as well as in the classroom. A good role model will provide the right tools to succeed physically and mentally.

The health aspect. Sport helps the body. It reduces trips to the doctor and therefore it reduces absenteeism and will increase productivity.
