Cancer is a disease that can occur anywhere in the body which is caused by a damaged gene that are forced to work that causes cancer cells to grow out of control. Some types of cancers grow and spread quickly throughout the body or take more time to grow. A tumor forms with most cancers, though some are benign meaning not cancerous while ones with cancer are called malignant. Ovarian cancer starts in the ovaries and the fallopian tubes that are located in the reproductive glands. This cancer usually has formed in women after menopause along with an increased risk if an immediate relative such as a sister, mother, or daughter has had ovarian, breast, and colorectal cancer. It seems that this form of cancer is a type of genetic as it can be traced back to a genetic mutation in BRCA1 or BRCA2 along with women of Eastern European and Ashkenazi Jewish descendants.
