Outweigh The Cost Of College

Nowadays college is more expensive than what it was 20 years ago, and even more difficult to be accepted. While many students are stressing over the cost of college the reality is that college can be affordable and effective use of your time, and money as you prepare for you life as an adult. Not everyone needs to go to college to be successful but it is important to find out what is right for you. Lots of students debate going to college or not because, of the financial burned it would cause. Paying for a dorm, books, classes, food, and transportation can be stressful for a student just leaving their parents home for the first time. In the Huffington Post there is an article about the benefits of a liberal arts degree its says, “a liberal education remains a resource years after graduation because it helps us to address problems and potential in our lives with passion, commitment and a sense of possibility.” (Roth) So, a four years of college you would attend will continue to pay off for the rest of you life. The huffington post also states “ the development of the capacities for critical inquiry associated with liberal learning can be enormously practical because they become resources on which to draw for continual learning, for making decisions in one’s life, and for making a difference in the world.” (Roth) As you take on college work and participate in college life, you’ll encounter new ideas and challenges. It is important to attend college so you can find yourself and figure out what you really love to do.
