I am writing to address your outrageous behavior on campus. The last time I heard you screaming was when you placed yourself outside of building 6; you were shouting “Accept Jesus or go to hell.” You were quoting John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” People were talking about you being crazy and just walking past you in a fearful manner.
As a Christian, I appreciate your enthusiasm about Jesus and his love for us as well as his forgiveness. I think your point is to share the word with people, so they can be saved and be with Christ. I got this from what you were screaming. …show more content…
I don’t understand why you would think that either. Forcing our beliefs on people in a community such as our college campus is not the way. It is scaring people away and causing fixed mindsets about Jesus. You may argue that we have freedom of speech, and since Highline is a diverse campus, you should be able to share your beliefs this way. I agree that there’s a need for religious diversity on campus that allows us to express ourselves in the manner we choose. A great way to express yourself in a diverse manner would be by using the community collaboration method that is mentioned in the Human services 101 book by Neukrug. In the book, it states “As a result of their knowledge and efforts, helpers can bring together agencies and organizations to work toward common goals.” What a great way to think about what you are trying to do. You can be viewed as the helper because you want to help people find Christ. Finding a place believers could meet to share their faith with non-believers and learn would help you do this. It would allow people to come and learn and for you to share your
