She was very skeptical about providing detailed information in regards to demographics, social class, and age range of the residents. With that being said, she avoided and refused to answer some of my questions for privacy reasons. As we moved along, the facility coordinator showed me around the different homes and discussed some of their programs and payment options. In addition, she provided me with their brochure, which discusses the different programs they offer at Casa De Las Amigas. Despite their unfriendly staff, I received a very good vibe from the treatment center and believe they are committed to providing the best possible experience for women recovering from alcohol and/or drug abuse.
Implications for Marriage, Family Therapists & Psychologists Each of the different programs offered at Casa De Las Amigas is congruent with the stages of recovery model discussed in lecture. Furthermore, Casa acknowledges and understands the importance of each of these stages. Unlike other programs who only offer impatient or outpatient treatment, Casa De Las Amigas believes in support after recovery, providing women the assistance needed as they transition and regain their lives with their sober living program. Even after becoming fully competent and reintegrating themselves back to their lives before addiction, Casa still shows support to those women by offering an aftercare
