b.) “The Adventures of Tom Sawyer” by Mark Twain is about a scandalous boy who witnesses a lot, and has to overcome his many problems. Tom witness a murder which no one knows who the murderer is. Tom also finds hidden treasure and becomes rich.

b.) Tom tricks his aunt in “The Adventures of Tom Sawyer” all the time.

f.) Hercules, or Heracles, was mad at his brother, so he decided to create some chaos and get in trouble.

h.)Because Hercules has such overbearing feelings, he often creates chaos.
I.)Therefore, Hercules is very similar to Tom since they both trick people and get in trouble.
a.)Tom Sawyer was scandalous like Hercules, but he is also greedy like King Midas.
b.) During “The Adventures of Tom Sawyer”, Tom and his friend want to become rich, so they decide to look for gold.
c.) “ There comes a time in every rightly constructed boy’s life when he has a raging desire to go somewhere and dig for hidden treasure. This desire suddenly came upon Tom one day.” ( Twain, 146)
d.) Since, Tom and his friend want to look for gold and nothing else, it shows the greedy side of Tom.
e.) King Midas is also greedy, when he wishes to be rich in gold.
f.) “Midas was a man who wished that everything he touched would turn into gold.”
g.) King Midas showed his greedy side when he wished for everything to turn to gold, showing that he just wanted money in
