Black History Untold
Introduction:
I) How many of you seen the Oscar Nominated movie Hidden Figures?
II) In hidden figures, there were three African American's who contributed to the Science, technology, engineering, and mathematics(STEM) fields.
III) Hidden Figures Is one of the untold stories of African Americans who contributed to society and there are many more untold stories of prominent African Americans that are not taught in the history curriculum.
IV) There is another Documentary that is not well known in which the documentary is called Hidden Colors 3 that tells about other African Americans who contributed as well.
V) African American’s advancement to the STEM area plays a large role in the technology we enjoy today. …show more content…
IV) Body Paragraph 4: Granville T. Woods
A)The last and final inventor is also Thomas Edison’s slave and his name is Granville Woods.
B) On blackpast.org, Granville T. Woods was a prominent inventor and electrical engineer who invented the multiplex railway telegraph which allowed communication between moving trains and train depots. A year later he developed a system for overhead electric conducting which helped power locomotives.
C)Thomas Edison claimed that the invention of the multiplex telegraph was his and filed a lawsuit to support his claims stated on blackpast.org, but Granville T. Woods won the legal Challenge.

A) In conclusion, just like the untold stories such as Hidden Figures that shows that without the three African American women who contributed to the STEM fields, there is more to our history then we …show more content…
C) Although, they were inventing different things to help make it better for themselves the masters of those slaves would steal the ideas of those slaves.
D) Because of the idea theft that happened according to a documentary called Hidden Colors 3, they try to demonstrate that most of our African American Inventions are in the dominant race’s hands.
