Students of literature around the world should read, “The Most Dangerous Games”.They should read this short story because it had action, suspense and getting the readers into hunting. in it. For example,when Rainsford and Whitney were hoping to have some good hunting in the Amazon, Rainsford says, Hunting is, “The best sport in the world”(Connell 1). This quote means that Rainsford agrees that hunting is the best sport to do. So they are telling the readers that it is good to hunt and it's a fun sport to participate in. This would get the readers more interested in hunting. For instance, when Rainsford fell of the yacht, General Zaroff says,“ I was about to have my dinner when you came. I'll wait for you.

The general was being nice to Rainsford by offering dinner and clothes to a stranger who got off the yacht. This is telling the readers to always be nice to people no matter what, even if they are in rough conditions. This would cause suspension in the story to the readers because it would make you wonder why General Zaroff is being so nice to Rainsford. Another example, when General Zaroff was talking to Rainsford about going hunting with him, Rainsford said,“ Life is for the strong, to be lived by the strong, and, if needs be, taken by the strong. The weak of the world were put here to give strong the pleasure.”(Connell 5). Rainsford is explaining how he is strong. This means that the reader is explaining that when you are stronger, you get further in life. So this would teach the readers to always push yourself further and further even if you're having a bad time. This is telling the readers that there is some action in this short story because Rainsford is telling General Zaroff that he is strong and that he would be willing to hunt with him.
