Introduction hook:
America prides itself for being an equal opportunity country regardless of race, gender, gender identity, and even sexual preference, But what about the social standing or the financial circumstances of someone such as a homeless person?
Introduction interpretation: I personally never experience homelessness but I question why do many people look upon them assuming they know everything. I ask where is the voice of those really homeless. If a tree falls and no one is there to hear it did the tree really make a sound? If the homeless spoke out and everyone ignores it did it really have a voice to speak with?
Introduction thesis:
Do the homeless have a Voice IN american
Body paragraph 1:
Claim: To first understand …show more content…
Uncompassionately not understanding their visible homelessness. Due to false stereotypes.
Evidence:
Earlier this year, police began arresting homeless people in Tampa, Florida for sleeping or storing their belongings in public spaces of the city. This was in response to claims that the homeless are dangerous people with drug problems.
Interpretation :
The police are wasting our tax money arresting innocent people because of a stereotype. Stereotypes are not always the truth as many people know why does the government believe in them.
Body Paragraph 3:
Claim : Anyone can wind up homeless and a job wouldn't always really stop you from being homeless.
Evidence:
In an article about his experience of being homeless William Bonnie says “... the line between where you are now and sleeping in your car is much, much thinner than you think. Besides, it wasn't like I was unemployed, right? But as I found out having a job won't save you”
Interpretation : William Bonnie who's experienced homelessness first hand is saying his job didn't help him gain a home to live in so even if you have a job it won't help you get a home.
