General Propose: To persuade and encourage my audience to have higher education by telling them why higher education is important.
Thesis Statement: Higher education is very important and valuable, because higher education offers graduates more jobs to choose, it offers many great financial benefits, and it also makes individuals more intelligent.

Higher education is perceived as extremely important, and for most people a college education has become the necessary admission ticket to good jobs and a middle-class lifestyle. vi. Quote from Nelson Mandela “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.”

I. Why do we need higher education?
A. Earn your own living
1. education helps you gain job opportunities for financial independence.
2. Also, education helps you build a network with people whose resources might work the best in your benefit if you so choose to be self-employed.
B. Happiness abound: Stable, balanced, self-dependent life.
1. Simply being educated you’d have little job insecurity, no inferiority complex and a well-organized understanding of the world
2. Education may not be the key to happiness, but it definitely is the key to a lot of other things which come together to make you happy.
