IV. The death penalty relies on morality.
A. Although the morality of the death penalty has been a debate for many years, Barrille stated that most of society is not prepared to demand a life of somebody who has taken another person’s life and believe it shows immorality (1, p. 239).
B. It is immoral to not punish a person who has committed a heinous crime such as murder. The criminal is not being tortured and no cruel behavior is being used. All the states that enforce the death penalty, uses lethal injections (1, p.239).
