Out of The Blue: The Search for Truth The question has existed since man has walked the earth; are we left to exist in the universe alone? In this review, I will explore Mr. James Fox’s approach to this question and whether I think Mr. Fox has any validity in his documentary with the evidence he puts forth. Our journey starts with the Drake equation formulated by astronomer and astrophysicist Dr. Frank Drake in 1961, which states that there are 10,000 communicative civilizations in the milky way galaxy. This documentary explores the military’s perspective on unidentified flying objects as well as eye witnesses’ testimony from astronauts, presidents, and high ranking military officials. Throughout the film various techniques are used to engage …show more content…
For me this is very intriguing because I am a veteran myself and I know how strong the integrity of those officers must be. I know they would not lie about their experiences because they would have nothing to gain, especially in the military since the subject is taboo. This brings me to my next notion, throughout the military there is a “need to know” aspect of ufology that states unless there’s a need to know, the military and government will not disclose any information. The military eyewitnesses in this movie explain very well how after their experiences with seeing UFO’s they tried to report the experience to their chain of command and the evidence was either taken or explained away as “flares” or a” lighthouse light.” This idea is simply ridiculous because this is the military and they know the difference between a UFO and a lighthouse (see figure 1). In conclusion, we may never know the truth about UFO’s or if we really are alone in the universe but for those of you asking those questions I think this documentary should definitely be something to consider as long as you stay open minded to the idea that not everything your told is the

The Drake Equation Introduction: The Drake Equation is an elaboration of the Principle of Mediocrity; an expression that determines the probability of the discovery of extraterrestrial life within the entirety of the unknown universe. This equation combines the things science knows and does not know to come to the equivalent of N, if N is the number of intelligent species in the universe that are communicating amongst each other right now. The Principle of Mediocrity is essentially the assumption of similarity throughout the universe, pertaining to this solar system being the original copy. It allows for scientists to obtain the physiological position using the knowledge previously discovered about the Milky Way and Earth, and…

I then started to craft my idea under the guidelines of the assignment. I wanted to make my audience engaged and on the edge of their seat while watching my created scene. From a director’s point of view, I had a specific obstacle with limited resources.…

Last autumn I found myself among the mountains of Tibet, wandering through the high desert created by the rain shadow of the mighty Himalayas, looking up at the cascade of unblinking stars that stretched across the night sky. The stars, in their steady glow, revealed a rather strange sight that I could best describe as being both disturbing and fascinating at the same time. It felt like they were giving me an exclusive window to look at the inner workings of the world and everything in it. According to the scientific community, the universe began its "life" roughly 14 billion years ago when space, time and even the atoms in our bodies formed in less than a blink of an eye.…

The S.E.T.I. Institute With there currently being an estimated amount of seventy-five billion tons of living things on this planet that we call Earth, there is a possibility that there are more living things out there in space, either in this galaxy, or in another. People like to refer to the beings that may or may not exist in space as “aliens.” This term does not fit the description well, because you can also refer to a person who is from a different country or nation as an alien. The term scientists use for the beings that may or may not exist in space is “extraterrestrial.” The S.E.T.I. Institute is an organization that researches the possibility of extraterrestrial life forms existing.…

Many people do not believe that there is Aliens and UFO’s being kept there. The evidence is hard to prove. But the photos and videos that were taken have bad graphics, aren’t clear enough to give a good visual. The military, which runs the base, claimed there is no UFO’s or aliens being kept there.
