The progression of disciplinary actions over the three years at Walters School indicate three major trends, or patterns, in the data given. The most noticeable trend was the increasing percentage rate of disciplinary actions on office referrals for black males in the categories of corporal punishment, in-school suspension, other and out-of-school suspension. Corporal punishment of black males doubled in percentage of action from 41.57% in 2204 to 81.82% in 2006. In-school suspension for black males maintained the highest rate for all ethnicities with a rate of 53.66% in 2004, 45.83% in 2005 and 56.86% in 2006. Out-of-school suspension is on the rise for black males beginning at 70.83% in 2004 and increasing to 77.69% in 2006. The second noticeable
