Our Lady of the Lake College takes pride in their brand and makes sure that every graduate accurately represents the college. One thing that makes this possible is that Our Lady of the Lake College has a mission statement that every student carries with them throughout their learning experience and into their careers.
Our Lady of the Lake College’s mission statement says, “Inspired by the vision of St. Francis of Assisi and in the tradition of the Roman Catholic Church, we extend the healing ministry of Jesus Christ to God 's people, especially those most in need. We call forth all who serve in this healthcare ministry, to share their gifts and talents to create a spirit of healing—with reverence and love for all of life, with joyfulness of spirit, and with humility and justice for all those entrusted to our care. We are, with God 's help, a healing and spiritual presence for each other and for the communities we are privileged to serve.” In my opinion, the college’s mission statement describes what most healthcare worker’s hearts feel. This has become especially true for me throughout my first experiences in the healthcare industry. As a Group, we are called to spread the love of God to all of humanity. As an individual, I have been blessed with God given gifts and talents that aid me in fulfilling His purpose for my life.
