Identity is the fact of being who or what a person or thing is. Our identity allows us to depict what is important to us and what is not. It defines who we are as a person, how we react to situations and how we treat people. We develop our sense of identity at a young age, an idea of how we like to treat other people and things, and how we view ourselves. Most of the things we identify ourselves with are based on how we are raised, and what we are told to believe is the right thing from a young age, and the culture we are raised in and only the ones close to us. As we get older, outside influences can alter the way we think, like religions, celebrities, and learning more about how the things around you are working and why what happens, happens.
