Mummies are constructed from two types of forms. The most notably known mummification process is considered to be the “artificial” method. This method is ideal with ancient Egyptians and notably “King Tutankhamun” (Iceman Reborn, 2106). The ancient “Egyptian” method of artificially preserving human remains consists of draining out all of the known fluids of the body and wrapping to preserve the layers of skin of the human body. This imaging process allows “Otzi’s” human remains to be captured with lights unseen to the naked eyes. According to the film Iceman Reborn, this imaging processing showed a total of 61 tattoos on “Otzi” that could not be seen before. These markings lead to significant evidence that “Otzi” used the tattoos as a remedy as tentative cure for his aches and pains. It was also discovered from inside of “Otzi’s” stomach that he digested mushrooms. The mushrooms discovered were birch polypore which “Otzi” used for natural cures for parasites and as wound bandages.
