Otzi was discovered with many different items; with the use of these items we can infer why Otzi was killed. Among them was a copper-bladed axe. Evidence for this includes contents from his stomach. When extracted, it reveals that he had eaten a large last meal. If he had know sooner that people were after him, he would not have taken to the time to sit down and cook the meal; and a big meal also weighs heavily in the stomach, making it harder to move. Otzi also had injuries on his hand, a sharp object possibly a flint tip spear, or dagger, was used to make the cuts. This caused so much damage to the thumb that it damaged the bone as well. These cuts were sustained some time before his death, most likely caused from an earlier confrontation. He also did not have a working bow and arrow. The bow was not completed, and there were only two finished arrows in the quiver. With this information we can infer that Otzi was first attacked after he finished his meal, maybe he went out for a walk after lunch, or dinner. He must have been far from the village when he was first attacked and was unable to get help or gather better supplies for defending himself. He was able to fend off his attacker, only sustaining an injury to his hand. It was at this time he must have fled up the
