Otzi Case Study

Decent Essays
Based on Otzi’s belongings I think he was a hunter. IF he was a farmer I believe he would have brought some of his own food with him. Even though he had arthritis he seems to be too skilled with a bow and arrow to just be a farmer since 1 arrow had 2 different people’s blood on it. I also think he lives with a group of people since he was whipworm. Whipworm is spread by human poop which makes me think he can’t get sick of his own poop. I don’t believe he died from this illness since he does not have any serious symptoms like rectal prolapse. I don’t think he was in battle because there would have been multiple bodies at least. Because he was not buried and was also missing his penis I believe someone was trying to take his power/dignity away

    1. INRODUCTION Spaza shops are regularly referred to as examples of small scale entrepreneurial endeavor and accomplishment inside the informal economy of South African townships. The expression "spaza" is taken from the isiZulu dialect, signifying "shrouded" (Bear et al., 2005), and rose in the politically-sanctioned racial segregation time when business open doors for black business visionaries were confined. These micro-convenience stores traded in a clandestine manner to provide township residents with local access to everyday goods otherwise only available at distant supermarkets. The larger part of spaza shops are unregistered, informal business and generally don't hold fast to the city rules for leading business in neighborhoods.…
