Otto Hahn Research Paper

Otto Hahn, a chemist in Berlin, performed an experiment of neutrons colliding into uranium atoms. As usual, some of the neutrons crashed into the atoms, but what bobbled Hahn’s mind was that the collision seemed to be causing the uranium atoms to split in two. He was sure that he had made a mistake. He needed help. He called his former partner, Lise Meitner to help him uncover this theory. They did the math and the result proved that Uranium atoms could really be split into two! They started to question themselves. What if you would take a 50 pound lump of uranium and split all of those atoms in the uranium at the same time? You would have the most powerful bomb ever built. The news spread around quickly to the world. A young physicist named
