Do you know who Anne Frank is? Anne Frank and her family were all Jewish during the time we call "The Holocaust". This time was also known as World War II, when they ally powers and the axis powers fought for the Jewish freedom and many other reasons. Adolf Hitler was the leader of this terrible movement and led an army of the Nazi's. He was the one that said he wanted all the Jewish dead. But a fun fact was that Hitler was Jewish himself. Otto Frank, Anne's dad created a safe place or zone for two years. This place was called the secret annex and after the war when everybody that was hiding in the secret annex was dead, but Mr. Otto Frank he went back and found Anne's diary and found this quote in a page of it "In spite of everything, I still believe people are really good at heart." Remember she said this in the middle of a time when everybody around her was sick and dying and in hiding, this girl was always looking for the positive in things and that is why she is such a big inspiration.

Neither Anne, Margot, or Edith survived The Holocaust, but Otto did. That is how Anne's Diary was published because Meip found the her diary in the secret annex when they back and then she gave it to Otto and he decided it needed to publish and Anne's story needed to be heard. You see now that doing something as little as writing in a diary can lead to something huge. It always the little things that matter. If you didn't already know World War II ended September 2nd 1945. Hitler at the end of this war committed suicide. A little fact for you is that Hitler was Jewish himself. The reason why he wanted all the Jewish to be dead? Nobody will ever know unless they spoke to the man himself.
